Lakewood, N.J.- With the score locked in a 4-4 stalemate at 18:12 of the first half, Mercy College fired off 10 unanswered goals as the #18 Mavericks trotted to an 18-6 non-conference road victory over Georgian Court University Wednesday afternoon in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action.
Mercy moves to 5-2 on the season after the triumph while the host-Lions slip to 1-3 on home turf (4-4 overall).
Hunter Isnardi (Hicksville, N.Y.) caused major problems for the Lions as the senior ripped seven goals and controlled eight draw controls (both game-highs) in the rout.
Katherine Sanchez (Jr.-Freeport, N.Y.) added four goals and an assist for Mercy while
Briana Corace (So.-Mahopac, N.Y.) and
Casey Shimborske (So.-Farmingdale, N.Y.) contributed a pair of tallies and a helper each.
On the home front,
Samantha Fernandez paced GCU with four goals on the afternoon. The senior star now sits just three tallies away from becoming the third player in program history to eclipse 200 career goals. (

The Mavericks dominated the shots column with a 33-15 advantage, including a 24-9 surplus on net.
Emma Jacobsen (So.-Miller Place, N.Y.) took home the victory in the Mercy net, controlling two saves over 51:04 of action. Starting keeper,
Amber Neumann (4-4), collected just one save before being pulled for back-up,
Lucy Tamke (five saves), after only 23:57.
The Lions take a much-needed breather before returning to action Tuesday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road game at Holy Family University. First draw is set for 4:00 p.m.
