Georgian Court Women's Hoops Nationally Ranked For First Time as NCAA DII Program, Sit at #19 in Latest D2SIDA Poll

Lakewood, N.J. - For the first time since becoming full NCAA Division II members prior to the 2002-03 campaign, Georgian Court University women's basketball is nationally ranked as the 7-0 Lions sit at #19 in the latest D2SIDA Poll

GCU, with its unblemished conference mark in this abbreviated 2020-21 season, has clinched the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular-season crown, and will serve as the #1 seed in next week's CACC Championship Tournament. The Lions earned a first-round bye as they prepare to host a game in the tournament's semifinal round next Thursday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wellness Center.

This will mark the second postseason appearance for head coach Jazz Perazic and her squad (and second in the program's DII history) as the Lions secured a first-round road win at Caldwell University (80-63) back on March 5, 2019.
