PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 9, 2025) - Georgian Court Softball went a full week without playing as Mother Nature continued to wreak havoc on the East Coast. GCU finally got on the field Wednesday afternoon as they traveled to Philadelphia to take on Chestnut Hill. The Lions had to shake the rust off in game one, but things went much better in game two of a split with the Griffins. The doubleheader split keeps the Lions record even in CACC play at 6-6.
Game 2 - Georgian Court 10, Chestnut Hill 0 - 5 Innings
How it Happened
• Georgian Court broke out in a big way scoring 10 runs on 13 hits.
• Chestnut Hill knocked just four singles throughout the game.
• Chestnut Hill made three errors in the field which led to one unearned run.
• After a scoreless first inning, the Lions went up 1-0, scoring an unearned run on a
Kristy Regalado sacrifice fly.
• The third was the big inning. They sent 12 to the plate and scored six runs on seven hits.
Charlee Mae Sinderud,
Isabella Molina and
Kaylin Curro all had run-scoring hits in the inning.
• Leading 7-0, GCU added to it in the fifth. Curro drove in another two with a single and came in to score on
Ella Moore's RBI double to make it a 10-0 lead.

Kaylin Curro finished the game 3-3 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Isabella Molina singled, doubled, drove in two and scored twice.

• Gabriella Quinones tossed 2.1 innings in relief allowing three runs.

• Christina Contreras, Mikayla Yuricheck and Anastasia Watson also singled.
Game 1 - Chestnut Hill 5, Georgian Court 2
How it Happened
• Each team knocked nine hits in the game.
• Both teams also had a pair of errors. That led one on unearned run scoring for the Griffins.
• Chestnut Hill scored a first inning run thanks to a one-out double.
• They added a run in the second. CHC loaded the bases with one out, but just tacked on one thanks to an RBI ground out.

Charlee Mae Sinderud got GCU on the board in the fifth. Her infield single scored
Brooklyn Ragland. It could have been more as GCU had two in scoring position with two outs, but a ground out ended the inning without further damage.
• The Griffins put up three in the home half of the fifth. Two singles brought in runs and a passed ball with two outs made it a 5-1 game.
• The Lions got closer with a run in the sixth.
Cheyenne Jackson singled, stole second, moved to third and scored on a
Gabriella Aleman sacrifice.
• Georgian Court brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh, but the Griffins escaped without allowing a run, closing out the game, 5-2.

• Camille Dunham singled twice in three trips to the plate.

• There's been a schedule change for the Lions. They'll host Molloy tomorrow afternoon in a doubleheader starting at 12 pm. This has been moved up from their originally scheduled doubleheader next Tuesday, April 15.
