Lions Take Care of Business On The Road

LAKEWOOD, NJ.(FEB.21st, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball traveled to Dominican and had a big 65-44 win. 

How it Happened
• Lions shot 47% compared to Dominicans 34%. 
• GCU scored 22 points off of turnovers while DC had 14. 
• Georgian Court outscored the Chargers in every quarter. 
1st Half
• For the 12th time this season, Niyell McCargo scored the first points of the game for the Lions.
• The Lions led by four with about 47 seconds left in the opening 10 minutes when Amyah Bray hit a three-pointer, extending the lead to seven points.
• Five minutes into the second quarter, Dominican's Sky Priester cut the lead down to two. 
• With about two minutes left, the game was tied 23-23, and then GCU went on an 8-0 run to end the quarter
2nd Half
• A slow two minutes to begin the second half for both teams until GCU's Farrah White hit a layup.
Lions scored 11 points in the third quarter, and Imani Gillette had seven of those points. 
•Dominican scored just seven points in the third quarter and trailed by 12 heading into the fourth.
The Lions caught fire in the fourth quarter, shooting 69 percent from the field and scoring 23 points.
• The Lions secured a 65–44 victory against Dominican.

Lion Stat Leaders
• Imani Gillette led with 23 shooting 9-13. 
Karissa Smedley and Amyah Bray had 12 points. 
Niyell McCargo had 10 points and seven assists. 
Farrah White had eight points and four steals. 

For the Chargers
Isabella Javier had 11 points. 
 Sky Priester had eight points.
 Tamia Nunes had four points and 11 rebounds.
