LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 21, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse surrendered seven first-quarter goals and wasn't able to recover in a 17-7 loss to Assumption.
How it Happened
• Assumption had the clear advantage in shots, taking 47 to the Lions 27. That included a 35-15 discrepancy in shots on goal.
• The Greyhounds were the better team off the draw, winning 17-of-27 faceoffs.
• Georgian Court struggled with turnovers, losing the ball 26 times. The Greyhounds lost the handle 15 times.
• Each team took five penalties. GCU was 3-5 with the extra man and Assumption converted on 2-5.
1st Quarter
• Assumption struck early and often scoring seven unanswered goals to open the scoring. The first goal was scored less than two minutes into the game.
• GCU finally got the board with under 30 seconds to play in the quarter.
• They avoided getting blanked as
Brodie Seaborn scored man-up to make it 7-1 after one.
2nd Quarter
• The Lions scored their second straight, opening the period with a goal from
Zach Myers.
• Assumption didn't score as quickly in the second. They went more than eight minutes without a goal.
• The finished the half scoring three straight and led 10-2 at the break.
3rd Quarter
• Coming out of the half, the Greyhounds added two more to take a 10-goal lead.

Zach Myers scored his second of the game and
Harrison Jordan got his first.
• The final 2:30 saw four goals scored, three from Assumption.
• Jordan scored his second with seven seconds left, but left too much time for the Greyhounds.
• They won the faceoff and flew down the field, beating the buzzer with a final goal in the third.
4th Quarter
• Georgian Court scored the first two of the fourth with
Brodie Seaborn and
Drew Barocas lighting the lamp.
• Assumption was chewing up clock, but still scored twice more.
• Their two goals brought the game to a 17-7 final.
