Lakewood, NJ (Feb.28th, 2026) - In their final regular-season game before the playoffs, the Georgian Court Lions women's basketball hosted Post Eagles women's basketball and fell 64–47
How it Happened
• Georgian Court's bench scored 43 points compared to the 18 that Post's produced.
• Post capitalized on turnovers and scored 21 compared to GCU's 13.
• Turnovers were nearly even Post had 21 compared to GCU 25.
• Post shot 45.1% and the Lions 32.1%.
1st Quarter
• Post started off taking charge; they started with a 7-0 run unanswered from GCU.
• It took nearly six minutes for the Lions to get on the board, when
Imani Gillette finally broke the drought by sinking two free throws.
• A Post three was answered quickly by a basket from
Imani Gillette and
Niyell McCargo.
• Post continued to distance themselves and led by 10 going into the second.
2nd Quarter
• Similar to the first the Lions struggled to start offensively.
• Post Eagles opened the second quarter with a 13-point run before the Lions were able to respond.
Imani Gillette got the Lions on the board with a layup four minutes into the half.

Maria Stanescu knocked down a late three-pointer in an effort to trim the deficit before halftime, and
Imani Gillette followed with another basket to help the GCU close out the half.
• The Eagles led by 15 going into halftime.
3rd Quarter
• It was the Lions who struck first this time, as
Imani Gillette opened the quarter with a three-point play after being fouled on a layup.
• GCU trimmed the deficit to eight with five minutes remaining, fueled by back-to-back baskets from
Alexi Hoy and
Imani Gillete.
• After this strong run, the Lions did not score again, and Post went up 19.
4th Quarter

Maria Stanescu opened up the quarter with a three-pointer for the Loins.
• A
Samantha Jones jumper and layup from
Destiny Wallace cut the lead to 13.
• Lions struggled to catch up in quarter four, and Post maintained their distance.
• GCU fell 64-47.
