WATERFORD, CT (March 27, 2026) - The Georgian Court women's lacrosse team secured its third consecutive victory of the season with a dominant 19–6 win over Post University.
How it Happened
• On the draw, GCU won 20-7.
• The Lions were also the better team on the ground, grabbing 13 ground balls compared to the Eagles 11.
• Turnovers were close; the Lions led with 14 compared to Post's 12.
• GCU took 31 shots and the Eagles 19.
1st Quarter
•
Erynn Richey started off the Lions offense with a goal 30 seconds in.
• After Richey's opening goal, GCU went on a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 8-0.
• Of those seven goals,
Gabrielle Battle had three.
• Post got on the board with five minutes remaining.
• Two minutes later, they put another goal in the net to cut the lead down to six.
• Lions pushed the lead back to seven with a goal from
Nena Menard to wrap up the quarter.
2nd Quarter
• The first five minutes were scoreless for both teams.
• Post found the net first with a goal from
Maddy Noonan.

Caitlin Petrellese had two goals for GCU within two minutes of each other.
•
Nena Menard closed the quarter again with a goal with about 58 seconds remaining.
• The Lions led 13-3 going into halftime.
3rd Quarter
• Freshman
Adrianna Mosca opened up scoring this half for GCU.
• Five minutes later,
Gabrielle Battle chipped in her fourth goal.
• Post scored just one goal in the third quarter, and that came from Claire Greene.
• Lions ended the quarter adding three more to their total.
4th Quarter
• The Lions last goal of the game came from
Erynn Richey with 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
• Post added two more goals to their total to end the game.
• Georgian Court Lions defeated Post University 19-6.
