Lions Extend Conference Success with Fifth Victory

Philadelphia, PA (April 15, 2026) - With a 12-5 win against Chestnut Hill, Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse improve to 5-1 in conference. 

How it Happened
• Georgian Court had 30 shots, and Chestnut Hill had 16. 
• Turnovers were led by CHC, who totaled 19, and GCU close behind with 16. 
• The Lions had the advantage on the draw with 12 compared to the Griffins seven. 
• Ground balls were even at 15 a piece. 
• It was a penalty-filled game, with the Lions having 11 penalties and Chestnut Hill 10.

1st Quarter
• After five scoreless minutes, Michaela Scirrotto scored on a free-position shot during a man-up situation. 
• Neither team scored for the next seven minutes until Caitlin Petrellese broke the drought, giving the Lions a 2–0 lead.
• Both teams had seven turnovers in the first 15 minutes. 

2nd Quarter
• GCU struck quickly in the second quarter, as Erynn Richey scored off an assist from Gabrielle Battle just 40 seconds in.
Michaela Scirrotto capitalized on another free-position opportunity at 12:58.
• The Lions kept the momentum as Nena Menard set up Jill Konschak for a goal.
GCU led 5-0 going into the half. 

3rd Quarter
• Chestnut Hill got on the board at the 14:28 mark, as Elizabeth Deal scored in a man-up situation.
• Lions answered back with a goal from Nena Menard
• The Griffins got their second goal with 7:13 left. 
Caitlin Petrellese scored back-to-back goals, giving the Lions a six-goal lead and marking her 100th career goal.

4th Quarter
• This time, Caitlin Petrellese found Gabrielle Battle for her first goal of the day. 
• Chesnut Hill was able to get two more goals within two minutes of each other. 
Adrianna Mosca had two fourth-quarter goals to extend the Lions lead. 
Micahela Scirrotto finished up the game with one more goal, giving her a hat trick. 
• The Lions defeated the Griffins 12-5.
