Head Coach | 2nd Season | 20-25

Andrew Zeger was tabbed as Head Coach of Lions Softball in September of 2023. He brings a wealth of experience on the diamond having been involved in coaching since 2015. He's coached both baseball and softball, with his softball coaching days having started in 2018.

In his first season as Lions Head Coach, he brought GCU to the CACC Postseason with a 20-25 regular season mark and 12-10 record in conference play. He helped senior Kaitlyn Stufft to her second CACC Player of the Year award as both she and Adriana Mungo made the All-CACC team and the D2CCA All-Region Teams. Stufft finished her illustrious career earning two First Team All-American awards under Zeger's tutelage. 
 
Zeger came to Georgian Court most recently from Army West Point where he was the head assistant coach in charge of hitting and recruiting. Over the course of his year at Army, he raised the team batting average 30 points from the year prior and his team led the Patriot Lead in home runs.
 
Zeger's expertise is in hitting and infield instruction. He likes to lead a balanced attack of power and speed. His teams are known for being strong fundamentally and aggressive when they need to be.
 
In addition to his strong traits as an on-field coach, Zeger is highly touted in building a strong team culture. He has challenged his players and succeeded in getting them to think differently about the game and grow as players and individuals.
 
In addition to Zeger's stops at Army, he also was the hitting coach at Furman University and ran all the defensive alignments. He had softball stops also at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and broke into softball at the collegiate level at Daytona State College. He has also worked at the pro academy Pro Swings and worked with both college and summer league baseball teams.
