Sarah Dessner

Assistant Coach | 4th Season 

Coach Sarah Dessner is in her fourth year as an Assistant Coach at Georgian Court. She began her coaching career at the high school level at her alma mater, Jackson Memorial, in 2015 as the Girls Assistant Varsity Coach. She remained the varsity assistant until 2022 and also doubled as the Head Freshman Girls Coach for two seasons.  While at Jackson Memorial, Dessner was part of four Division Championships and a Central Jersey Group IV Sectional Championship.

During her time at Jackson Memorial, Coach Dessner also started her own basketball organization and training company, while also working for a basketball facility.

Dessner played at Jackson Memorial HS from 2008-12 where she was part of the Group IV Overall State Championship her senior season, the first boys or girls basketball state championship in Jackson. She then went on to West Virginia University where she started the first Women’s Club Basketball team as a player/coach.

In her first season with Georgian Court, Dessner helped senior Savawn Hughes to an All-CACC award.
