Michael Murawski has been at the helm of the Women's Track and Field Program since January of 2013 and the Men's Track and Field Program since the team’s inception in the winter of 2014. While at Georgian Court, Murawski has led his teams to multiple Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) titles with the women winning seven-straight (2014-21) and the men securing five titles in six years (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021). The men and women also earned their second East Coast Conference (ECC) Indoor Championship in 2020. The men extended their ECC Indoor Championship streak to four and have five ECC titles in all (2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023). The women also won the 2013 ECC Outdoor Conference Championship during their only outdoor season participating as a conference member.

As a coach, Murawski is no stranger to success. During his time at Georgian Court, Murawski has earned 16 Coach of the Year honors, including: CACC Men's Outdoor Coach of the Year (2015-16, 2019, 2021), CACC Women's Outdoor Coach of the Year (2015-2019), ECC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year (2019-20, 2023) and ECC Women's Indoor Coach of the Year (2013, 2019-20).  Murawski was also named the East Region Women’s Coach of the Year in 2021. His staff has developed one individual national champion, eight NCAA All-Americans, and 76 NCAA qualifiers.

In 2022, Murawski helped Georgian Court to their first ever CACC Men’s Cross Country Conference Championship. He was named the Coach of the Year on the men’s side for the first time in his career on the cross country course. He nearly repeated the feat, but took second place in 2023 at the conference meet. 

He and his staff have helped shape many individual ECC and CACC standout student-athletes, including: 2015 Women’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Shelby Frink), 2015 Women’s CACC Field Rookie of the Year (Malawi Allen), 2015 Men’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Joseph Kaas), 2015 Men’s CACC Field Rookie of the Year (Michael Brazzel), 2016 Women’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Octivia Booker), 2016 Women’s CACC Field Rookie of the Year (Alba Herrero-Gomez), 2016 and 2017 Men’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Michael Brazzel), 2016 Men’s CACC Field Rookie of the Year (Nathan Gill), 2017 Women’s CACC Track Athlete of the Year (Jessica Handsaker), 2017 Women’s CACC Field Rookie of the Year (Stephanie Bock), 2017 Men’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Leon White), 2018 Men’s CACC Track Athlete of the Year (Hussein Elmeshad), 2018 Men’s CACC Field Athlete of the Year (Alaa Al-Shrouf), 2018 CACC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year (Stephanie Bock), 2019 CACC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year (Kaitlyn Bargen), 2022 All-American Aniyah Russell, four-time CACC 3000m steeplechase champion (Kyle Spector), four-time CACC shot put champion (Robbie Babson). 
 
In the ECC, Murawski and his staff have coached athletes who have received similar honors. In 2015, Octivia Booker received the ECC Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year, while Peter Collins won Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In 2014, Tiffany Okieme took ECC Indoor Athlete of the Year. Alyssa Hudgins earned ECC Women's Outdoor Athlete of the Year and Lauren Calorel were crowned the ECC Women’s Outdoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2013. The Lions’ most recent honoree, Lyric Green, received the 2020 ECC Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year and Jan Volkmar was the 2023 Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.
 
Coach Murawski joined the Lions after serving as the Head Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania where he developed two Honorable Mention All-Americans, 14 NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifiers, and 113 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifiers.
 
A former NCAA Division I multi-event track and field student-athlete and captain at Duquesne University, Michael went on to serve as the assistant track and field coach at his alma mater of Holy Cross High School in Delran, N.J. before beginning his tenure at West Chester.
 
Michael, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Rhetorical Studies from Duquesne, and a Master of Science in Sports Management from California University (PA), is a USATF Level II certified collegiate coach.
 
Originally from Cinnaminson, NJ, Murawski, his wife, Ashley, currently reside in Woodstown, NJ with their son and daughter.
