LAKEWOOD, NJ-After playing a scoreless first half, the Georgian Court University soccer team broke out with four goals in the second stanza, defeating visiting Bloomfield College 4-0, in CACC action Saturday afternoon on Investors Savings Bank Field.
The Lions, with the victory, improve to 11-7 overall and 9-2 in the CACC. The Lady Deacons fall to 2-13-1 (0-10-1 CACC).

Alexa Niro broke the 0-0 tie in the 49th minute (48:59) when she knocked home a
Candace Seaton pass for her fourth of the season. GCU's leading scorer, sophomore
Kelly Lyons (pictured) then collected her 13th and 14th goals of the season less than four minutes apart from each other as she found the back of the net at 55:04 and 58:48.
Freshman
Cyn-Dee Wong scored her second of the campaign off a
Denisha Thomas assist at 77:07 to close out the scoring. For Thomas, the assist marked her first collegiate point.
Senior goalkeeper,
Lindsay Hammond, made two saves in the complete game shutout, her seventh of the year.
The Lions next welcome Wilmington University on Tuesday afternoon for a 3:30 PM CACC contest.
