PHILADELPHIA- For the second time in three days, the GCU Lions traveled to the City of Brotherly Love for some CACC volleyball action. After defeating Philadelphia University, 3-2, Tuesday evening in dramatic fashion, the Lions faced University of the Sciences Thursday night, defeating the Devils, 3-0, at Morgan Arena.
Janelle Murdock registered a team-leading six kills for the Lions while digging eight balls.
Stephanie Rivera (pictured left) tallied five kills and six blocking assists.
Brandi Arsenault also registered five kills to go along with six digs.
Lisamary Figueroa led the Lions with 15 assists while libero,
Ana Cruz tied two USP players with a game-high 14 digs.
The victory puts Georgian Court above the .500 mark (8-7, 4-0 CACC) and extends the Lions' CACC winning streak to 55 straight games. USP falls to 2-5 (2-2 CACC).
GCU plays its 14th game of the year away from home this Saturday afternoon when they travel to Caldwell College for a 2:00 PM match.
