Struggles Continue for Lions ... Blanked by Philadelphia, 3-0

LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University soccer squad's winless streak hit a season-high three games Tuesday afternoon as the Lions fell to CACC foe, Philadelphia University, 3-0, at Investors Savings Bank Field.

In a possible postseason preview, the contest remained scoreless until local product Gabrielle Haden (Jr.-Freehold, NJ/Colts Neck) buried a one-timer on an Erin Walter (Jr.-West Islip, NY/West Islip) cross at 23:56.

Haden made it 2-0 in favor of the Lady Rams at 75:20 after taking a Trisha Sileo (So.-Islip, NY/Islip) feed to the net for her second tally of the game and fourth of the season.

Sileo sealed the deal for Philadelphia (6-4-3, 6-2 CACC) at 88:20 for her fourth goal on the campaign on an assist from Nicole Van Bourgondien (Fr.-Southold, NY/Southhold).

The Lady Rams kept the GCU defense in a retrograde motion most of the afternoon as they outshot the Lions, 11-5.

Philly goalkeeper Kelli Kowalewski (So.-Shamong, NJ/Seneca) earned the win in net with four saves in 90:00.

GCU's Shealyn Sullivan suffered the loss, stopping seven shots in the complete-game effort.

Georgian Court (6-5-2, 5-3-1 CACC) returns to action this Saturday with a home match vs. Caldwell College at 1:00 PM.
