FLUSHING, NY- The Georgian Court University volleyball team remains winless this season as the Lions were swept in a Saturday afternoon tri-match at Queens College.
GCU (0-3) lost to the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University, 3-0, in their opening match before falling to the host-Knights, also by a 3-0 score (21-25, 13-25, 23-25), in the finale. The Lions have yet to win a set this season after opening the campaign with a 3-0 loss vs. NYIT Thursday afternoon.
Sophomore
Amy Berry led the Lions' offense in its contest vs. Queens with eight kills on 19 attempts while also providing support in the backcourt with a team-high five digs. Setters
Laura Vega and
Karol Oliveros shared the team lead with four assists apiece.

The Lions hope to find the win column when they return to the court this Tuesday at 7:00 PM for a match vs.C.W. Post University in the GCU Wellness Center.
