NYACK, NY - The Georgian Court University soccer squad saw its season-high five-game winning streak come crashing down as the Lions were speared by the Warriors of Nyack College, 5-1, Saturday afternoon. GCU falls to 6-5 (5-3 CACC) and 1-4 away from home.

Georgian Court's lone tally came at 68:59 when Kelly Lyons registered her third penalty kick of the year and team-high ninth goal of the campaign.

Nyack's Jen Martino (Fr.-East Patchogue, NY) notched two goals and Stacey Cervantes (Jr. Whittier, CA) landed a goal and two assists in the victory.  Sabrina Caires (Jr.-Vallejo, CA) also tallied two assists.

The conference win pushes the Warriors CACC record to 4-2 and takes their overall record to 4-8.

GCU face a mighty foe on Tuesday when they travel to first-place Philadelphia University (10-1-1, 9-0 CACC) for a 4:00 PM contest.
