LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad concluded the 2011 campaign in impressive fashion Tuesday evening as their offensive thunder overpowered the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College, 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-21, 25-16).
Led by
Tatiana Villariny (25 kills) and
Amy Berry (15 kills), the Lions registered 63 total kills and a solid .293 hitting percentage.
Jaslene Lopez distributed a match-high 47 assists while
Francheska Cedres and
Anabelle Barinas contributed 21 and 10 digs, respectively.
Goldey-Beacom's
Monica Dempsey (Jr.-Secaucus, NJ) posted a double-double for the visitors with her 19 digs and 18 assists.
Nicole Receveur (Fr.-Wilmington, DE) led the Lightning with 21 digs while
Kadi McCoy (Fr.-Dallastown, PA) controlled 15 of her own.
With the victory, GCU improves to 8-24 (6-12 CACC) while Goldey-Beacom drops to 14-16 (7-12 CACC).
