LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University lacrosse squad fell to visiting East Stroudsburg University, 10-7, this afternoon in the 2011 season opener for both clubs and the debut for Lions' head coach Jackie McGarrigle.

The Lions (0-1) took a 7-5 lead on a Shannon Mastrogiovanni goal at 36:26. However, the Warriors (1-0) charged all the way back with five unanswered goals to close the game.

GCU senior Lauren Conaty led the Lions' offense with three goals on the day. Seniors Alley Abbate and Ryan McGrath and freshman Molly McCourt also found the back of the net for Georgian Court.

Jennifer Molzon took the defeat in net for the Lions, collecting 15 saves in 60 minutes of play.

Georgian Court travels to Massachusetts this Saturday when they take on #8 Stonehill College at 11 AM.
