RUTHERFORD, NJ- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad went 1-1 Saturday afternoon, defeating Felician College, 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 15-8), in a CACC match-up before falling to regional foe, Southern Connecticut State University, 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 20-25), in a tri-match hosted by the Golden Falcons.

Tatiana Villariny earned her first career double-double in the opener vs. Felician (0-7, 0-2 CACC), tallying a match-high 13 kills to go along with 11 digs. #Amy Berry# fell one kill short (9) of her second consecutive double-double (14 digs). Francheska Cedres led all players with her 22 digs while Maria Antimisiaris also reached double-digits with 11 digs of her own.

Jaslene Lopez distributed 38 assists to lead all players.

In the second match, Berry led the Lions (3-4, 2-0 CACC) with nine kills while Lopez again did the same in the assists department with 26. Cedres topped GCU with 14 digs.

Sarah Beres (So.-Ellington, CT) led the Owls (5-1) with 11 kills, while Kimberly Lachowicz (Jr.-Mansfield, TX) collected a game-high 27 assists. Vanessa Sullivan (Jr.-Paramus, NJ) returned 15 digs, one of which was the 1,000th of her career.

GCU makes its home debut Tuesday evening when they welcome University of the Sciences to the Wellness Center at 7PM.
