Lions Upended by Philadelphia University ... Lose Fifth Straight

LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad dropped its season-high fifth consecutive match Tuesday evening, falling to CACC nemesis Philadelphia University, 3-0 (20-25, 11-25, 17), in the GCU Wellness Center.

The Lions fall to 4-9 with their second straight conference defeat (3-2 CACC) while the Lady Rams even their record at 5-5 (3-1 CACC).

Tatiana Villariny led GCU's attack with her game-high seven kills. Francheska Cedres topped her club with 13 digs while Jaslene Lopez led all players with her 15 assists.

Philly's Danielle Carney (Jr.-Thousand Oaks, CA) tied Villariny with seven kills. Teammate Brittany Olson (So.-Sycamore, IL) contributed a game-high 14 digs.

GCU looks to regain its winning ways this Thursday when they host Chestnut Hill College at 7PM. The Lions defeated the Griffins in Philadelphia, 3-1 (25-22, 19-25, 25-17, 25-22), back on September 7th.
