LAKEWOOD, NJ-On the most vernal of days, the Georgian Court University lacrosse squad took to the field at home for the first time in 2012 and did not disappoint the GCU faithful as the Lions dropped visiting Chestnut Hill College in a CACC showdown, 14-8, on the GCU Lacrosse Field.

The Lions, winners of three straight contests, earns its 36th consecutive regular-season CACC victory (2-0 in 2012) and improves to 3-1 overall.

Corinne Coyle, the reigning CACC Player of the Week, picked up exactly where she left off last week as she netted a game-high four goals and added two assists for six points on the day. Stephanie Gallo scored a goal of her own and distributed five assists, also for six points.

Molly McCourt, Olivia Rotunno, and Kerry Stader each netted a pair of goals in contribution to the Lions' victory.

For Chesnut Hill (0-3, 0-2 CACC), Erica Eaby (Jr.-Lancaster, PA), Christina Squillante (Jr.-Kings Park, NY), and Brianna Timony (Jr.-Allentown, PA) led the Griffins with two points each.

GCU goalkeeper Amanda Cathcart earned her third straight win between the pipes for the Lions as she tallied 10 saves in the complete-game effort.

Netminder Jenn Delahanty (Jr.-Staten Island, NY), the Griffins' tough-luck loser, performed extremely well as she collected 20 saves on 46 GCU shots.

The Lions take to the road for another CACC contest as they travel to Dominican College Thursday afternoon for a 4:00 PM contest.
