Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball sqaud produced an efficient performance with a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win over visiting Goldey-Beacom College Wednesday evening in the GCU Wellness Center.
The Lions (13-11, 11-3 CACC) took down the Lightning (5-19, 0-15 CACC) by the scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-23. Georgian Court has now won two straight and remains in third place of the CACC South Division.
Alice Vincente topped all players with her 10 kills (.308 hitting pct.).
Kelsey Oliver did the same with her 15 assists while fellow setter
Jaslene Lopez contributed 10 of her own.
Gabriela Berrios-Hernandez, playing libero this particular evening, topped the Lions with seven digs.
Goldey-Beacom's
Kady McCoy (Jr.-Dallastown, Pa.) paced the Lightning with eight kills.
Roni Peters (Sr.-Leonardtown, Md.) led the visitors with 11 assists while
Daphne Bistrimovich (Jr.-Freehold, N.J.) and
Niki Receveur (Jr.-Wilmington, Del.) each controlled seven digs apiece.
GCU takes to the road Friday afternoon for a 5:00 p.m. CACC contest at Chestnut Hill College.
