Waterbury, Conn.- The Georgian Court University lacrosse squad escaped Connecticut with a 13-10 victory at Post University Wednesday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action. The Lions, winners of four straight, improve their record to 8-5-1 (7-2) while the Eagles dip to 2-12 (2-7 CACC).
GCU took a 6-4 lead into intermission before outscoring the home team, 7-6, in the second stanza. 
Corinne Coyle paced the Lions' offense with four goals. 
Stephanie Gallo contributed a hat trick while 
Catherine Dee and 
Melissa Williams scored a pair. 
Emily Gialanella and 
Molly McCourt completed the scoring with a goal each.
Amanda Cathcart tallied five saves in net for the Lions.
Georgian Court returns home this Sunday with a noon showdown vs. CACC rival Philadelphia University. The Lions will celebrate Senior Day prior to the contest as GCU honors Coyle, 
Jennifer Molzon, 
Anna Roszel and 
Olivia Rotunno.
