Nyack, N.Y.- The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad suffered its second consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) defeat Saturday afternoon, a 4-0 road shutout to the Warriors of Nyack College.
Nyack would get on the scoreboard in the 30th minute as a pass from
Toni Mutschler would find its way to captain
Felix Horn for his first goal of the season.
During the 37th minute, freshman midfielder
Andrew Kupp made his season debut with a goal assisted by Horn.
After 45 minutes of play, the Warriors held a 2-0 advantage as the team would outshoot their opponents, 9-1, into the half.
Two shots on goal would be taken by GCU's
Michael Clarke begining the 2nd period, but both would fly high.
During the 76th minute junior midfielder Mutschler, fired in the third Nyack goal of the match, tallying his season first.
At 82:37 GCU fouled Nyack in the keeper's box, resulting in a yellow card and a Warrior penalty kick by
Marco Likos that would go in to complete the blanking.
In this group collaborative effort, Nyack lead 10-0 in corner kick opportunities and Georgian Court was held out shot by the Warriors by a Margin of 22-6.
The Lions remain on the road with another CACC contest Tuesday afternoon (3:30 p.m.) at Holy Family University.
