Nyack, N.Y.- The Georgian Court University women's soccer squad secured its third 1-0 victory of the season Saturday afternoon as the Lions downed the host-Warriors of Nyack College.

At 85:28, Jamie Smith sent in a corner kick that Laura Nelson deposited for her first collegiate goal after a miscue by the Nyack defense in front of the net.

GCU's Casey O'Connor earned her third shutout of the campaign with seven saves in the Lions' net. The Warriors (2-3, 1-1 CACC) outshot Georgian Court 13-10 and held a 5-3 lead in corner kick chances, but to no avail.

Georgian Court (3-1-1, 3-0-1 CACC) stays on the road when they take on Chestnut Hill College under the lights at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
