Bloomfield, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad, playing its third straight five-set match, held on for its second consecutive win in such a contest Saturday afternoon as the Lions downed host-Bloomfield College, 3-2 (25-19, 25-14, 18-25, 22-25, 15-6) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.

The Lions, winners of two straight, improve to 4-7 and 3-1 vs. CACC foes. The Lady Deacons remain winless on the year as Bloomfield fell to 0-11 (0-3 CACC) with the defeat.

Jhoan Agosto Rivera dominated at the net for the Lions with a match-high 24 kills. Teammates Anabelle Barinas (16 kills, 12 digs) and Gabriela Berrios-Hernandez (12 kills, 17 digs) each posted double-doubles in the victory . Francheska Cedres led all players with 21 digs while Jaslene Lopez and Kelsey Oliver distributed 42 and 17 assists, respectively.

GCU remains on the road as the Lions travel to Albany, N.Y. Sunday afternoon for a non-conference match vs. The College of St. Rose. Start time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
