Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad needed less than an hour (57 minutes) to dismiss visiting Philadelphia University, 3-0, Friday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition.
The Lions (9-10, 5-3 CACC) breezed past the Lady Rams (7-10, 5-3 CACC) with straight-set victories of 25-18, 25-16, 25-16.
Tatina Villariny Rodriguez (Sr.-Rio Grande, P.R.), third in the CACC in kills, collected a game-high 11 more in Friday's victory. Teammate
Jhoan Agosto Rivera (Sr.-Carolina, P.R.) followed with 10 of her own.
Kelsey Oliver (So.-Vancouver, Wash.), paced the club with her 29 assists and eight digs.
Erin Lyman (Fr.-Algonquin, Ill.) topped Philadelphia with six kills.
Nina Morvin (Jr.-Willow Grove, Pa.) dished 12 assists while tying teammate
Claudia Papola (So.-Temple, Pa.) for the team lead with four digs apiece.
Georgian Court takes to the road Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with a CACC showdown at Concordia College.
