Pleasantville, N.Y.- The Georgian Court University men's basketball squad, after a brief Thanksgiving siesta, returned to the hardwood Saturday afternoon with a 70-55 non-conference road defeat at Pace University.
 The Lions (2-5) owned a slim 43-41 advantage over the home team with just 9:44 remaining in regulation, but it was the Setters (2-5) that rallied to outscore GCU, 29-12, during the balance of the clock to secure the victory and snap a three-game slide.
Pace's
Shelton Mickell (Jr.-Queens, N.Y) topped all players with his 25 points, which included 7-of-14 from the floor and 8-for-9 at the free-throw line.Â
Jordan Weinert (Sr.-Pt. Pleasant, N.J.) deposited a team-best 17 points for Georgian Court, providing a 7-of-14 effort of his own over 27 minutes.
Juwuan Carter (Fr. Patterson, N.J.) followed with 11 points in 30 minutes of action.
Chris Polanco (Fr.-New York, N.Y.) just missed a double-double with nine points and 12 boards as did
Keith Hughes (So.-Woodbridge, N.J.) with his 10 points and nine rebounds.
GCU returns to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition Wednesday evening with a road contest at Goldey-Beacom College. Tip is slated for 8:00 p.m.
