Philadelphia, Pa.- The 2014 season came to an abrupt end for the Georgian Court University lacrosse team Saturday afternoon as the Lions succumbed to Holy Family University, 18-11, in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament semifinals, hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
The defeat marks the third straight year GCU has had the plug pulled on its campaign by the Tigers, while now having lost seven consecutive matches to the conference rival. Holy Family will now face off vs. Philadelphia University in Sunday's championship game as the Lady Rams dismissed Dominican College, 21-11, in the other semifinal contest.
