Newark, Del.- The Georgian Court University and Wilmington University volleyball squads renewed their rivalry Thursday evening with the host-Wildcats making quick work of the visiting Lions, 3-0, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
Wilmington sprinted past GCU 25-7, 25-19, 25-13, to improve to 11-5 (5-1 CACC). GCU, losers of four of their last five matches, slips to 7-9 (3-2 CACC).
Kelsie Blue,
Peggy Rosario, and
Taylor Winchester each tallied a team-leading six kills in the defeat.
Kelsey Oliver registered 20 assists and 13 digs for her third double-double of the year.
Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa (11) and Winchester (14) also acheived double-digits in digs in the outing.
The Lions return home this Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. Homecoming Day conference match vs. visiting Concordia College.
