Philadelphia, Pa.- The Georgian Court University volleyball team butted heads with a red-hot Philadelphia University squad Thursday evening as the host-Lady Rams dismissed the Lions, 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12), to secure the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional triumph, and 12th straight victory overall.
Philly U. now owns an impressive 9-1 mark in CACC play (13-4 overall) while the Lions' record evens at 11-11 (6-4 CACC).
GCU's
Peggy Rosario came within a dig (11 kills, nine digs) of a double-double. Teammate
Taylor Winchester just missed out of her own double-double effort, collecting 18 digs and nine kills.
Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa added 15 digs while
Kelsey Oliver dished 28 assists.
The Lions remain on the road this weekend as they travel to Felician College for a tri-match vs. the host-Golden Falcons (1:00 p.m.) and Southern Connecticut State University (3:00 p.m.).Â
