Philadelphia, Pa.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad earned its fourth consecutive victory vs. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition Thursday evening as the Lions shut down host-University of the Sciences, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-8).
The win improves the third-place Lions to 17-12 overall (10-4 CACC) while the Devils, losers if six straight, fall to 4-15 (3-11 CACC).
Taylor Winchester shined in all facets for the Lions, compiling a match-best 14 kills and six service aces while also controlling nine digs.
Jessica Pedroza and
Peggy Rosario settled 12 and 11 digs, respectively, while
Kelsey Oliver dished a match-high 25 assists.
Reigning CACC Defensive Player of the Week,
Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa, registered six digs and four service aces.
The Lions next trek to Bloomfield College with a 12:00 pm conference match this Saturday. The Bears (18-4, 11-3 CACC) currently are tied with Post University atop the CACC North Division.
