Wilmington, Del.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad closed out the road portion of its 2015 regular-season calendar Tuesday evening as the Lions glided to a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional victory at Goldey-Beacom College, winning by the scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-17.
The victory keeps GCU in third place of the CACC South Division with a conference mark of 12-6 (19-14 overall). The Lightning fall to 7-20 (2-16 CACC).
Kelsie Blue and
Peggy Rosario highlighted the Georgian Court offense with seven kills apiece while Blue also put down five blocks on the night.
Taylor Winchester contributed 10 digs and six kills while
Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa settled a match-best 11 digs.
Kelsey Oliver dished a game-high 14 assists.
The Lions return home Saturday to conclude the regular-season campaign as GCU hosts first-place Philadelphia University at noon. Georgian Court will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match, honoring seniors
