Men Unable to Keep Mojo Going as Lions Tripped Up at Holy Family, 84-67

Philadelphia, Pa.- Coming off an inspiring Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road victory over the weekend at Felician College, the Georgian Court University men's basketball squad was unable to continue its momentum as the Lions faltered at Holy Family University Tuesday evening, 84-67.

The advantage would grow to a stanza-high 14 points, 33-19, with 5:22 in the half. The Lions composed themselves and rallied to cut the deficit to 40-35 after a furious 16-7 effort with 1:32 to go before intermission.

The Lions gave HFU (18-6, 12-3 CACC) everything it had in the second half, pulling to within a hoop (55-53) at the 11:29 mark. The Tigers immediately put all comeback desires to a halt as the home team exploded for a 12-0 blitzing to take a comfortable 67-53 lead with 7:46 to go. The Holy Family surplus would grow to a game-high 20 points, 84-64, after a free throw with 22 ticks left on the clock.
