Lakewood, N.J.- On a day the Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad said "thank you" and "farewell" to its senior class, the Lions kept their sights on the task at hand, dismissing Nyack College, 17-7, and extending the team's winning streak to eight in GCU's regular-season home finale.

Taylor Reinecke in a touching pre-game ceremony. The day became extra special for Gallo 1:23 into the second half as she netted the 100th goal of her stellar collegiate career.
GCU and Nyack (3-10, 1-6 CACC) played a very competitive first 15 minutes of action to start the affair with the Lions owning a slim 6-4 advantage with 15:49 remaining before intermission. That is when the Lions (9-5, 5-2 CACC) turned on the offensive jets, scorching the Warriors for 11 unanswered goals to take an insurmountable lead of 17-4.
Cathcart continued to dazzle in the GCU cage, collecting three saves en route to her seventh win of the year (7-1). Madeline Barbarino (Sr.-Staten Island, N.Y.) suffered the defeat in a noble effort for Nyack, which included 13 saves.
Callie Brown led the charge for Georgian Court with a team-best five goals. Gallo added four of her own, which included her milestone tally. Gialanella contributed a Senior Day hat trick, while
Melissa Williams provided a goal and five assists.
Georgian Court closes out the regular-season portion of its calendar with a key-CACC road match at Wilmington University. Start time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
