LAKEWOOD, N.J. (April 25, 2015) -- Top-seeded Holy Family University and second-seeded Georgian Court University picked up wins in their semifinal contests on Saturday to advance to Sunday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Final, which will be held at 12 p.m. in Lakewood, N.J.
Holy Family, which claimed the conference's regular season crown with a perfect 8-0 record, downed Wilmington University, 21-10, in the day's first semifinal, while GCU knocked off Philadelphia University, 12-11, in three overtimes in the second contest. HFU improved to 13-3 overall, while the Lions improved to 11-5.
Melissa Williams scored with 1:10 remaining in the third overtime to lift the Lions to a thrilling win over the defending conference champs. Williams' marker came in the third OT, but it was the first extra session that was staged as a golden goal period. Both teams notched a tally in the first overtime, while failing to produce a marker in the second three-minute session.
The 2015 CACC Player of the Year scored a game-high four goals, while assisting on another for five points.

Silvetta Agosto, who assisted on Williams' game-winner, recorded a hat-trick with three goals to produce a four-point afternon.
Lauren Hartman scored three times to pace the PhilaU attack, while
Liz Mower chipped in with a pair.
The Rams bridged the first and second halves with five-consecutive goals to go from a three-goal deficit to a 7-5 lead with 18:04 remaining. Mower buried a strike with 9:29 remaining to stake Philadelphia to a 10-8 lead, but Georgian Court responded with two scores in a 32-second span inside the final 90 seconds of regulation to tie it. Brown first logged an unassisted tally, while Emily Gialanella took a feed from Williams and slipped a shot past the PhilaU defense to knot it at 10-all.
Brown scored Georgian Court's goal in the first OT, while Hartman answered less than a minute later with a tally.
Georgian Court held a 29-26 lead in shots.
