Garden City, N.Y.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad journeyed to Long Island Wednesday evening for a non-conference match vs. Adelphi University.
The host-Panthers made quick work of the visiting Lions, defeating GCU in three straight sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-19). Adelphi improves to 8-4 on the year after the win while Georgian Court falls to 6-7 overall.
Peggy Rosario, in the setback, collected her second double-double of the season in leading the Lions with 20 digs and 10 kills.
Kelsey Oliver followed with her second double-double as well, garnering 22 assists and 12 digs.
Taylor Winchester (15),
Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa (13), and
Jessica Pedroza (12) each established double-digit efforts in the digs column.
GCU returns to CACC play this Saturday when the Lions head to Caldwell University for a 4:30 p.m. showdown.
