Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad, celebrating its annual Dig Pink Cancer Awareness Night, had its opponent seeing red Friday evening as the Lions dismissed Chestnut Hill College, 3-0, to secure a swift Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory.

The Lions (16-14, 12-3 CACC) needed just 1:06 to send the Griffins (10-12, 8-5 CACC) packing in straight-set wins of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-13.

Peggy Rosario shined for GCU as the heavy-hitter smashed a match-best 13 kills and collected six digs. Freshman Kathryn vonKampen drilled 10 of her own in the home win. The Lions collectively compiled 45 kills on 86 attempts, registering a staggering .453 hitting percentage as a team.

Kelsey Oliver fell just short of a double-double effort with her 36 assists and nine digs. Jennifer Smith topped all players with 11 digs while Janelli Torres followed with nine of her own. Kelsie Blue, honored before the game for her 500th career block earlier this week, added four more to her team record in the contest.

GCU next scurries to Concordia College Saturday afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. conference contest.
