Philadelphia, Pa.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad received a less-than-heartwarming welcome Wednesday evening at Philadelphia University as the Lady Rams leveled the Lions in straight sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-17), cruising to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional victory in the process.
GCU slips to 8-12 (5-2 CACC) while first-place Philly improves to 13-4 (6-1 CACC).
Melanee Coleman topped the Lions' lineup with her five kills.
Peggy Rosario collected 16 digs to go along with five kills.
Janelli Torres accounted for nine digs while
Kelsey Oliver shared 20 assists.
Georgian Court will rinse away the bad taste of this setback and now look forwward to Saturday's CACC showdown at Dominican College. Start time is 12:00 p.m.
