Lions Drop Second Straight with 2-1 Setback at Post University

Waterbury, Conn.- The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad suffered its second straight 2-1 setback Saturday afternoon, this time on the road vs. the always-formidable foe of Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.

The Lions (6-5-1, 4-3-1 CACC) were presented an early gift as a Post University own-goal provided GCU an early 1-0 advantage at just 6:15. The Eagles 5-5-1 (4-1-1 CACC) erased their blunder just before intermission (43:49) as a successful Mamadee Kamara (Gr.-Bronx, N.Y.) penalty kick tied the contest at 1-1.

The score would hold until the 62nd minute (61:50) when Matteo Moro (So.-Rome, Italy) headed in a Patrick DeAngelo (Sr.-Danbury, Conn.) cross for what would be the game-winner.

GCU was only able to muster two shots in the contest (seven for Post). Aleksander Milosevic was tagged with the loss in the Lions' net, collecting two saves in his 68:48 of action.

Georgian Court will next compete out of conference with a 3:30 p.m. match-up at Queens College this Tuesday afternoon.
