Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's basketball squad, having played its first five outings on the road, finally toed the home hardwood Tuesday evening as the Lions hosted Holy Family University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional showdown.
The Tigers (2-3, 1-0 CACC) got the best of the Lions on this evening as the visitors ran away with an 86-58 triumph. GCU still seeks its first victory (0-6, 0-2 CACC) after the setback.Â
Aside from a GCU 7-4 advantage 3:01 into the affair, Holy Family controlled the first half before easing into intermission with a mighty lead of 48-22. The Lions demonstrated its trademark "no-quit" work ethic and clawed back in the second stanza where they were edged by a slim margin of 38-36.

Keith Hughes each supplied a team-best eight points in the effort while Hughes and
Hamilton Capellan both snared eight boards apiece.
After a long-deserved solace, the Lions return to action on Wednesday, November 30 for a CACCÂ match-up at Goldey-Beacom College. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m.
