Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's basketball squad hosted Wilmington University Saturday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest. The visiting Wildcats dismissed the Lions, 85-60, to secure the always-important divisional victory.
Wilmington (6-4, 2-1 CACC) had four players reach double-digits in scoring, led by
Omari Dill-Petiford's (So.-Newark, N.J.) game-high 29 points and six three-pointers.
Nick Richards (Jr.-New Castle, Del.) followed with 15 points.
Tyaire Ponzo-Meek (Sr.-Wilmington, Del.) contributed 14 points while
Drew Johnson II (Sr.-Lancaster, Pa.) dropped in 13 and grabbed a team-high eight boards.
As for Georgian Court (1-10, 1-5 CACC),
Nikola Vujovic paced the offense with 17 points while
Caleb Bowser registered his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Tony Ellington, Jr. added 10 points and a team-best four assists.
The Lions hit the road Tuesday evening for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference tilt at the University of New Haven.
