Waterbury, Conn.- The Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad returned to its winning ways Tuesday afternoon with an 18-5 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road triumph over Post University.
Coming out of intermission with a comfortable 9-3 advantage, the Lions (4-10, 4-3 CACC) owned the second stanza, 9-2, to coast to the 18-5 victory over the host-Eagles (0-13, 0-7 CACC).
Callie Brown enjoyed a momentous afternoon, collecting two goals and three assists, registering her 100th summation as a GCU Lion.
Melissa Williams and
Xena Valenzuela topped the victors with four goals apiece while
Kayanna Chandler netted a pair of her own. Overall, 10 different Lions snapped the back of the opposing net in the triumph.
Stephanie Lehner earned her fourth win between the Georgian Court pipes, denying six Post shots.
GCU returns home Wednesday for a non-conference contest vs. Mercy College at 2:00 p.m.
