Lakewood, N.J.- On a day the Georgian Court University women's lacrosse team honored its seven seniors, the Lions clinched the #3-seed and a home game in next week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament with a 17-4 defeat of visiting Dominican College (3-12, 3-6 CACC) Wednesday afternoon.
GCU (6-11, 6-3 CACC) will now host a quarterfinal contest on Tuesday with the opponent and time to be determined. The Lions revered the collegiate careers of

A pair of
Christina Brennan (Sr-Washington Township, N.J.) goals put the visiting Lady Chargers up by a 2-1 mark 9:27 in the contest, but a six-goal flurry by the Lions provided the home team with a 7-2 advantage with 10:54 left before intermission.
After breaking the contest open with a 11-3 surplus at the break, Georgian Court would proceed to net six of the seven tallies scored in the second stanza as the Lions coasted to the postseason-clinching victory.
Williams dominated the stat sheet with 15 points on the afternoon, including five goals and 10 assists.
Kayanna Chandler matched her teammate with five goals of her own while Brown collected a hat trick.
Lehner collected 10 saves in the win, improving to 6-10 on the year.
