Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad secured its first victory of the season in dramatic fashion Saturday as the Lions erased a 2-0 deficit and roared all the way back for an epic 3-2 triumph over visiting Southern New Hampshire University on the final day of the annual GCU Invitational.
After falling in two closely-contested sets (24-26, 23-25), the home team displayed its meddle by squeaking out victories in stanzas three and four (25-22, 25-23) before running away with the triumph in the fifth-and-final set (15-5).

Peggy Rosario authored her second consecutive double-double by supplying 16 kills and 18 digs in the win while also dropping in five service aces.
Kelsie Blue clubbed 14 kills while patrolling the net for a team-best six blocks.
Kelsey Oliver joined Rosario with a double-double of her own, consisting of 48 assists and 10 digs.
Three other Lions reached double-digits in the digs category, including a game-high 23 from
Janelli Torres.
Jessica Pedroza collected 14 for GCU, followed by 13 from
Vanelix "Gaby" Merced.
In the nightcap, GCU (1-7) dropped a 3-0 decision to undefeated West Chester University (25-14, 25-20, 25-18). Pedroza paced the Lions with nine kills. Rosario gathered 15 digs and seven kills. Torres tied for the match-high with 16 digs while Oliver dished 26 helpers.
Georgian Court will be seeing these very Golden Rams (9-0) again this Tuesday evening as the Lions travel to West Chester for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference contest.
