Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad now owns a season-best three-game winning streak after the Lions sprinted past visiting Holy Family University Tuesday evening by a score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-10, 25-22) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional showdown.
GCU now improves to 6-10 overall (3-1 CACC) while the Tigers suffer its first CACC setback and fall to 4-1 in conference play (7-7 overall).
The Lions collected an astounding .354 hitting percentage in the match, including a stellar .684 mark in the second set (13 kills, 0 errors, 19 attempts).
Kelsie Blue, the reigning CACC Defensive Player of the Week, topped the victors with nine kills to go along with her match-best five blocks.
Peggy Rosario pounded eight kills and collected eight digs while
Amy Bruno threw down eight kills off the GCU bench.
Kelsey Oliver fell just short of a double-double with 27 assists and nine kills.
Georgian Court returns to the road Friday night with a CACC match at the University of the Sciences at 6 p.m.
