Bronxville, N.Y.- The Georgian Court University men's basketball squad, playing its first contest of the 2017 calendar year, traveled to Concordia College Wednesday evening where the Lions experienced an 85-56 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference setback.

Seven lead changes highlighted a first half that eventually went to the Clippers (3-11, 2-4 CACC) by a 41-31 mark. It was sweet-sailing for the home team in the second stanza as Concordia opened a game-high surplus of 32 points (85-53) with six seconds remaining in regulation.

Nikola Vujovic highlighted an otherwise dismal day for GCU (1-14, 1-6 CACC) as the sophomore secured his first double-double of the season, consisting of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Keith Hughes poured in 12 points, followed by Juwuan Carter with 11 points. Carter also added three steals in the effort.

Stephen Milhaven (So.-Port Washington, N.Y.) highlighted the Concordia scoring column with his 27 points, which included a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe. Cedrick McFadden (So.-Washington, D.C.) dropped in 17 of his own in the victory. Teammate Jalen Heath (Sr.-Joliet, Ill.) came dangerously close to a triple-double with 13 points, nine assists, and eight boards.

GCU regroups and heads back to action with a 3:00 p.m. showdown scheduled for this Saturday at Post University.
