Wilmington, Del. - The Georgian Court University women's volleyball squad secured a tidy 3-0 victory Tuesday evening at Goldey-Beacom College, extinguishing the Lightning 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 to secure the always-important Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional win.
The Lions improve to 4-3 in CACC action (4-12 overall) while GBC dips to 5-10 (4-3 CACC) on the year
GCU's offense was led by
Aubrey Binkley with her team-best 10 kills and three service aces.
Peggy Rosario, come off two straight double-doubles a week ago, contributed nine kills and a team-high 16 digs in the triumph.
Shana Rayside blasted eight kills and returned six blocks for Georgian Court.
Ashley Pierson and
Jackie Sweeney each registered double-digit assist totals with 23 and 11, respectively, while
Gaby Merced controlled 12 digs for the Lions.
Georgian Court will next take on the University of the Sciences this Friday evening on the road. Start time is set for 7:00 p.m.
