Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - The sensational 2017 season of the Georgian Court University women's soccer squad came to a close Friday afternoon as the #6-seed Lions dropped a 3-0 decision to #3 Southern New Hampshire University in the first round of the NCAA Championship Tournament.
The setback snaps GCU's 15-game unbeaten streak and 10-game winning streak as the newly-minted Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champions complete the year with a remarkable record of 16-4-2. With the win, the Penman of SNHU improve to 15-2-5 and will next take on #2 Mercy College (16-3) in Sunday's second round.
