Box Score Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University women's lacrosse squad improved to 2-0 (3-6 overall) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition Saturday morning as the Lions dismissed visiting Felician University, 15-0.
GCU poured in 10 tallies in the first half before sending in five more in the second stanza to seal the win.
Arianna Quinlan (five points) and
Samantha Fernandez (four points) topped the victors with three goals each in the victory while
Nicole Barbella and
Angelina Palermo netted two apiece.
Grace Duddy slipped in a goal and dished two helpers.
Amber Neumann (33:57) and
Lucy Tamke (26:03) shared the shutout in net for Georgian Court with Neumann (3-6) being credited with the victory.
The Golden Falcons fall to 0-3 (0-1 CACC) on the year.
The Lions now gear up for a CACC home showdown vs. Chestnut Hill College this Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Griffins topped GCU, 14-10, in last season's CACC Championship semifinals.
